Par Mar Oil Company’s President/C.E.O. Named “Top Woman in Convenience Industry”

Recognized Among Only Five “Women of the Year” for 2015

May 11, 2015 (Marietta, Ohio)-  Sandra Morgenstern, President & C.E.O. of Par Mar Oil Company (dba Par Mar Stores) has been named one of just five “Women of the Year” by Convenience Store  News.

More than 50 female managers, directors and executives who work in the convenience store industry were recognized in six categories.  Those categories included Women of the Year; Senior-Level Leaders; Mentors, Rising Stars; Store Managers; and Single Store Owners.  Convenience Store News in conjunction with the Network of Executive Women and the Top Women in Convenience advisory board were the judges.

Morgenstern has been with Par Mar for 30 years with hands-on experience in all phases of the convenience industry and oil industry.  She successfully managed the Wholesale and Bulk lubricants division, transportation division, the dealer division and the retail stores.  The Par Mar Stores chain has grown to a chain of 50 convenience stores, 16 quick serve restaurants, with more than 500 employees in Oho, West Virginia, and Kentucky.  Under her leadership, Par Mar Stores has actively given back to many organizations in their community such as Make-A-Wish Foundation,  the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Secret Santa, and the Children’s Miracle Network.  Morgenstern was instrumental in developing Par Mar Stores Wednesday Wish Day (WWD).  WWD is Par Mar’s fundraising program for children on Christmas morning. She is active on several industry trade groups, serving on the board of both West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association (OMEGA) and Ohio Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (OPCMA), as well as the Exxon Advisory Council.
